WHO IS FOLLOWING YOU?

Thousands of years before Twitter, the Psalmist wrote "...surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life..."

Sometimes you can tell a lot about someone by their Twitter followers.  So...who's following you?

The Psalmist illustrated the relentlessness of God's mercy in Psalm 23.  The Hebrew word that he used for "follow" is primarily a military term.  It is used in the context of one army pursuing another army.  It means: "to chase, follow, hunt, pursue, to run after."

It doesn't matter who you are today or how far away from God you may have walked, the Mercy of God is still pursuing you.  No matter how hard you try to get away, you cannot out maneuver the mercy of God.  You may try to slip away, but it will follow and pursue.

David cried out after a God that ruthlessly pursued him, "Where shall I go from your spirit?  Or where shall I flee from your presence?"

Who is following you?

Do you feel as though you're being pursued by the enemy?  Do you feel as though life and circumstance have put you between the proverbial rock and a hard place?  Do you think there's no way out?

"I will look to the hills!  From whence cometh my help?  My help cometh from the Lord who made heaven and earth!"

There's another pursuer behind the enemy.  And when God shows up, all enemies have to leave.

So...who's following you?
